The other three are smaller ones from different brands which honestly do next to nothing when it comes to dust and pet dander. We purchased this one for our large living room for multiple reasons, primarily because while we are cooking, the smoke from the kitchen spreads into the living room quite fast and sets our ionization smoke detectors off constantly. This purifier not only kicks into high gear early on when it detects the smoke, but also the color changing light makes for a good visual indicator for when we need to either open some windows or mute our detectors.
It’s also insanely quiet, at one point me and my wife were worried that it was not turning on during its scheduled time at night even though my app said it was on. I put my ear to it and I felt the light air blowing from it before I even heard anything. It’s nice to know now that we can have this on while watching movies/TV without any sound disruption!
The app itself is very informative, and I love the air quality over time graph, as we live In a dusty area next to some train tracks and if we ever accidentally leave a window open it tends to get dusty in our home. While the thought of having an air purifier on while a window is open makes me cringe, if me and my wife were ever at work and accidentally leave a window open we like that it can inform us and kick on to protect our pets from the god awful amount of dust and dirt particles we get.

– I feel like intake vents on all 4 sides of the frame would be more effective as one side of my purifier unfortunately has to be orientated in a way that one of the vents is blocked off by my couch. A longer cord would also fix that but currently the cord isn’t long enough for me to even rotate it so that the intake is not against the back of our couch (that’s a me problem though)Overall, the pros outweigh the cons and the cons are caused by the way I have my own living room orientated. Helpful Review: I have been wanting to replace my older model of room filter/purifier for quite a while. The VEWIOR Air Purifier with Air Quality Display so far has been a great choice.
Upon receiving it I found the air purifier was packed well and compactly, in a nice-quality box. Inside the box, there is the purifier and nothing else visible except the small manual, secured with packing foam. The manual gives you a quick overview of how to unpack the purifier and how to use it.
The bottom of the purifier has a hatch that unscrews to get to the rest of the parts. Inside is the power pack, and the filter in its plastic protective bag. The filter fits into the bottom and the hatch goes back on. Replacing the filter is super-easy and quick.
The power supply is a standard-looking transformer that plugs (non-polarized) into a 110-volt wall outlet, with a nice long fairly thin cord (carrying only about 5 watts at 12 volts – pretty standard stuff and low voltage) that allows you to position the air purifier a good distance away from a wall outlet and snake it to where you need it. On the cord is a warning about not using the air purifier in extreme conditions and on the other side of the tag is the VEWIOR customer service info.
The whole unit itself weighs only about 2.82 pounds or 1.28 kg and measures about 6.30×6.3×9.96 inches. So pretty light, and fits almost anywhere. So that’s all there is to setting it up, outside of finding a suitable place to place it.
Air is drawn in from the sides of the lower half (so you don’t want to block the sides) and blown out the top. Even with the fan at high speed, there’s not a huge amount of air movement so if you don’t like it to move your curtains or something like that it shouldn’t be an issue.
The small control panel on the front is straightforward with a display across the top and flat-panel buttons underneath. The top-left button is the manual fan speed, there are three fan speeds. The top-right is the timer button, which allows you to set timer periods from 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 hours to shut it off after that period. If no timer is used it stays on indefinitely, of course.
The bottom-right is the power button – which of course turns the whole thing on. Turning on the power sets it to auto mode, automatically. And the bottom-left button is the automatic option, which as I mentioned above the purifier defaults to.
If you manually have set the fan speed then pressing this AUTO button switches back to the automatic settings. With the automatic setting turned on it will adjust the fan (and thus the filtering performance) according to pollutant conditions in your room.
In my home office as well as the rest of the house the air seems to be pretty good and the fan settles down to its lowest setting after about 20 or so seconds after turning the power on.
You’ll hear the fan run at an intermediate speed for a bit until the sensor analyzes the air in your room and sets the fan speed automatically. A quick informal test of this showed that it works quite quickly to detect changes in the room pollutants, upping the speed to filter the contaminants out.

Helpful Review: I only just got this yesterday and used it last night for the first time but I feel compelled to write a quick review already. This thing is a game. changer. Ever since moving to Texas, I suffer from terrible seasonal allergies. I never have in my life until now (turns out I’m allergic to a handful of trees that are native around here. Fun.) Some years are worse than others but this year is baaad. For the past few weeks my mornings have had me waking up congested and unable to breathe, blowing wads of snot out of my nose (sorry!), and with a itchy/scratchy sore throat.
First thing I do is take an allergy pill and wait in misery until it finally seems to kick in around mid morning. (I’ve had a terrible time finding meds that work too. It just sucks.) In a plee of desperation I talked my husband into us trying it. It got in yesterday (quicker than expected, yay!). I immediately unboxed it upon getting home from work and plugged it in. It says you only need to run it for about 15-20 minutes on high to cycle the room but I set that little baby on high with a two hour timer and let it run. When it was time for bed, I set the 6 hour timer on sleep mode. The sleep mode is great. It’s a lot more quiet than I expected. I still expected to be able to hear a little white noise from it (which doesn’t bother me at all) but unless I lift my head off the pillow and really listen, I can only just barely hear it.
And I have it on my side of the bed about 3 feet away. Our home air system is louder than it on sleep mode. If you enjoy white noise, you could probably just run it on low and be fine. It has a button to turn off the indicator lights at night too so you don’t have bright lights keeping you awake if that’s a problem for you. Anyway, I woke up this morning with NO allergy symptoms. None. No congestion, absolutely clear nasal passages, and NO sore throat at all! I’m blown away. I’ll try to come back and revise this review if my opinion changes but after the first night and the relief I was FINALLY able to feel from my allergies this morning I absolutely rate this thing 5 stars. Worth every penny!

Helpful Review: I have never owned HEPA style air purifiers. I have always used electro static air cleaners in the past, which are fine in a lot of ways. But I wanted to get a couple of these air purifiers for both my living space and also for indoor gardening. These wonderful units fit the bill perfectly and are simply stellar for me in every way.
I cannot speak on the sleep mode or the timer mode, as I haven’t used either of those features (yet). The reason being that these things are just fantastic right out of the box by just running them on the lowest setting and leaving them on 24/7. I mean, these things move a TREMENDOUS amount of air! There are four speed settings, and I only use the low setting! Maybe I’ll bump it up to setting number two in the summer, or if air cleaning requirements become more heavy duty, but I doubt it.
I honestly LOVE these purifiers. They are super quiet for the amount of air they move, and they really clean the air in a room quickly and very efficiently. I can’t imagine how dirty the air would have to be to use the high setting. If you need to use the high speed setting on these units, it’s time to consider a lifestyle change! Just kidding! But man, do these little units clean the air!
They are super lightweight and easy to deal with in every way. It takes seconds to clean or replace the filters, everything is super user friendly, the white color is nice and blends in well with surroundings, and they are just really, really well made. I expect them to perform at this high level for many years. I am super impressed by the attention to design details and to quality.
A very nice piece of equipment to own, and if, like me, you can run them constantly or at least very often, on the lowest setting, and still get the lovely clean and fresh smelling air I am getting from using them, you should be very happy indeed with your purchase. And, you can buy “equivalent” filters here on amazon, that will definitely work with this unit for a lower cost than the OEM filters. Definitely a good value, especially when done this way!
