1. Hamilton Beach Electric Indoor Grill
Helpful Review: This Hamilton Beach Electric Indoor Grill has ALL of the features that I was looking for. For one, it’s stainless steel, it also has a temperature control setting, sizable and removable grill plate that’s dishwasher safe AND a glass viewing window!! Also, the lid is an actual lid and does NOT come in contact with our food.
I love that the lid is also removable, however, I wish the lid was dishwasher safe…But, unfortunately it is NOT. The drip pan is more of a “drip drawer,” which I absolutely LOVE because I no longer have to worry about grease drippings on the counter. It is also dishwasher safe. The base of the unit is VERY EASY to wipe clean, which is another plus.
So far, I have only grilled burgers on this grill. They were the BEST burgers that we’ve ever had using an indoor grill!! My Husband referenced how JUICY the burgers were, which I noticed and APPRECIATED as well. The burgers were cooked to PERFECTION with AMAZING grill marks, without being charred and dried out. I can easily fit 6 [1/3 pound] burgers on here, instead of only 2 at a time.
I would HIGHLY recommend this item to anyone looking for a QUALITY indoor grill. Just keep in mind that the removable lid is NOT dishwasher safe, so you will have to clean it by hand. However, the lid is EASY to clean with hot soapy water. Also, be sure to check dimensions because this is a nice-sized grill and takes up a decent amount of counter space. The pros DEFINITELY outweigh the cons or should I say “con” with this item.
2. Ninja Electric Indoor Grill
Helpful Review: This grill is outstanding. We had a Hamilton Beach that wasn’t heating properly anymore after 4 years of use so we bought this after lots of research & reading reviews. We were going to get the 6 in 1 but we like to have our grill separate from the Air Fryer, & this got better reviews than that product. We also had to pick between this model, & the cheaper model that didn’t come with a griddle & im really happy we decided to get this because the griddle is amazing.
Normally, in our biggest frying pan I can only get 5 pieces of bacon which I constantly have to rotate in order to make sure it cooks evenly. But on this? I can easily fit 8 pieces of bacon that all cook together at the same time because the heat distribution on this grill is awesome. With our last grill there would be grease spots under the grill, that would some how miss the trap, but not with this, and it gets hotter than the other one, and I think it’s hotter than the dial is set at 350° to 375°? It cooks at what seems like 400° so I found myself turning it down more than the instructions suggested. It’s really easy to use, and clean.
It’s also very sleek & modern looking on the counter. It does pull about 12.5 amps so if you have this going with an air fryer that pulls a lot of amps on the same circuit? It might trip the breaker. I posted a pic you have to divide that number by 10. The only two complaints we would have are, it doesn’t have a light to indicate when it reaches its cooking temp, and it didn’t come with a complimentary Ninja Throwing Star. I was really looking forward to that. I hope you love this as much as we do! (If you decide to get it!)
3. CUSIMAX Smokeless Electric Indoor Grill
Helpful Review: I thought this would be something we’d use occasionally, just for fun, but it turns out to be so useful we never put it away. It lives on the right half of our stove-top. We especially appreciate the griddle. One of the best things it does is to sear meat for braising. That task used to take a long time and fill the house with smoke, but now it’s a breeze. The large griddle surface allows all the meat to sear at once, very quickly. There’s still a little extra smoke in the house, but nothing like before.
Surprisingly, it’s also wonderful for cooking eggs and bacon. I can do fried, scrambled, or omelets with ease, and after a bit of practice, I’m turning out perfect eggs that cook in just a few minutes. We buy cooked bacon, and I like to drop a few pieces on the griddle just as I’m turning my eggs, and it heats them up to a nice crispiness. Breakfast sausage also cooks up very nicely.
I’ve been making stuffed peppers on the griddle, too. I soften the peppers in the microwave briefly, and then stuff them, and let them go on the griddle until everything is done. It’s easy to clean up. I tried putting the grill and griddle in the dishwasher, but it doesn’t do a great job on them, and it’s really not necessary. A quick rinse under hot water with the scrub brush, and it’s good to go. The non-stick surface is exactly what it claims. I recommend picking up a couple of wide silicone spatulas to avoid scratching it.
Speaking of non-stick surface, and two spatulas, you might find that some items, especially fried eggs, will skitter around when you try to scoop them up with your spatula. It really is that slick! So we usually use two spatulas, one to keep the item from running away, and the other to slide under it. You can also let the fan stay running after you turn off the heat, which helps to contain any smoke while the grill is cooling off.
4. Chefman Electric Smokeless Indoor Grill
Helpful Review: I just received this item and used it as soon as I could wash it and preheat it. I marinated chicken breasts in anticipation of receiving the grill. It is so easy to use. It’s a perfect size and price. I wanted something simple to operate and easy to clean. It grilled my chicken perfectly then I took the grill piece when it cooled and put it in the dishwasher. It cleaned up beautifully. It’s not bulky so I found a spot in the kitchen to store it because I plan on using it a lot. I do all the cooking and grilling and I was tired of running outside to the big gas grill while trying to do the inside cooking as well. I can grill in the winter now, too. It was entirely smokeless because of the water tray under the grill. I wish I had bought one of these sooner. The cord is a decent length, not like the really short ones, so you can move it away from the wall a little. There are just two of us so there is more than enough room for our needs, and plenty of room for more.
5. Techwood Electric Smokeless Indoor Grill
Helpful Review: This is a great indoor grill – it’s compact enough to not present any storage issues and is big enough for a family of four if you grill items strategically. The fan really works and is better than expected, and there is minimal smoke. I think it’s impossible to have zero smoke but we have been using this indoor grill regularly and it’s a wonderful product at a reasonable price point. The clean-up is SO easy – love how the components come apart and anything in contact with food goes in the dishwasher. I don’t like electric appliances that have cooking surfaces that can’t be ully dismantled. It heats up quickly and sears nicely with grill marks and all that good stuff. When it’s fully loaded with items, it does lose a little heat but it’s fine – just takes a little longer. We think it’s great for bringing the family together and pacing the meal in an interactive way that promotes conversation sat dinner too. Nothing bad to say, and I don’t write many reviews, but I know I was searching for more details when doing my own research on indoor grills so I hope this is a helpful review. Would whole heartedly recommend this product.
